A Baptism Service Broke Out!

Buried with Christ in baptism, raised in the newness of life…. All things are made new.

We had an incredible time with the Teen Challenge guys this week-end. This was our third annual Teen Challenge Pool Bash! We open up our home, backyard and pool to everyone at North Central Indiana Teen challenge, not only to be blessing to them, but also for us to minister and encourage these guys to keep going on with Jesus. These times are a way we build relations with the guys, speak into their lives and minister to them, all why we are having a great time of swimming, playing some yard games and eating some good food. (Please see the pic’s below...)

God was so gracious, as there was a threat of storms but we prayed and asked God to hold off the storm clouds and praise God-we had great weather as the sun was actually popping out from time to time. We thank God for the beautiful day!

A real highlight of the event happened as we were having a time of worship and getting into the Word. One of the students came forward and testified of how his whole desire is now to go all out for the Lord- to be totally sold out!! He testified how he wants nothing to hinder him and for God to number one in everything. He continued sharing on his desire that he wanted to get water baptized and live fully for Christ. Amen. We shouted and rejoiced with him. Then we felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit to baptize this young man right now! Why wait? This was not planned at all, but we knew the Lord was doing something and orchestrating this, so we all shuffled over to the pool, to what we thought was to baptize one guy. But God has additional plans.

After JJ was baptized, Andy Collins, (Director of TC), asked if there was anyone else feeling prompted by the Lord. Four more brothers felt the leading to lay it all down and make the public profession and be water baptized. It was incredible! We all shouted praises and rejoiced, we hugged and encouraged. It was amazing seeing the faces of these guys as they came out of the water. What a marvelous day! To God be the glory!!

Thanks Saints! Be encouraged- God is still moving and changing lives.

Thanks for reading God bless!

Lifeline Ministry Update

TC Pool Bash 2012'
This weekend we will be having the third annual "TC Pool Bash-Fellowship." This is a time that we have all the guys from Teen challenge over to our home- opening up our back yard and pool to bless the guys with a time of swimming, fellowship, yard games and some good eats. But not only that, we will be having a time of Worship together and getting into the Word of God. This is always a great time around these brothers.

So we are looking forward to some good fellowship and a time of speaking into these guys lives. Most of these brothers will be having a break soon in which they will be going home over the fourth of July holiday and it will be testing times for these guys as they will be facing temptations. Please keep them in your prayers. Pray that they remain strong  in Christ as they are challenged.

June 14th Outreach
At our last outreach (June 14th at the Mission Thrift Store) we connected with a man who was living out of his van. He was open to talk to us about his spiritual condition in which he testified of his recent conversion to trust in and make Jesus his Lord. He also shared his financial struggles as he had made some pro choices but he is attempting to get back on track.

We helped him and prayed for him at the outreach as we put some gas in his vehicle and we gave him some leads on jobs that we knew were possibly available. Well some good news, he got a job and he starts very soon. But this job requires steel toed boots. So, we are in the process of getting this brother, who is willing to work and attempting to get his life in order, some boots. If anyone would like to contribute toward this please contact me. the cost for these boots, we are estimating, will be around $70.00 Currently there are three of us who are splitting the cost of this, so any amount toward this would be a blessing. Please keep this man in prayer,  his name is Jason. We see so many guys like Jason struggling and trying to get their life back in order. Thanks so much.

Next Block Party Outreach is July 19th
Our next outreach will be July 19th in Dunlap, Indiana. One of our faithful comrades on the Lifeline team, Frankie Phillips, has had this outreach on his heart for a while now- because this is where Frankie lives, this is his neighbor hood. Frankie lives on Himebaugh Ave. This is an older neighborhood with lots of needy people and we are excited to be ministering the love of Christ to them.

There are many children that live in these neighborhoods. So we are planning to have a bounce house along with face painting and balloons, free hotdogs, grill cheese and live music. Another cool thing that has happened, we have connected with a local Church (Sunny Side Baptist) in the area, they will be assisting us and they have a small motorized kiddy train. So we will be giving train rides around the neighborhood for the kids. It's really going to be an awesome time.

Day: Saturday July 19th
Time: Noon - 3pm (set up at 10am)
Location: 24099 Himebaugh Ave.

We will have more info on this outreach coming up, but please mark your calendars and plan on coming on out to be part this soul winning event. These outreaches are the "Body of Christ" ministering together, it takes all of us - please pray about being part of something life impacting. Amen.

Thanks for reading this and your prayers.

FREE HOT DOG DAY!!

 Quick update on Saturday's Outreach....
GREAT TURNOUT!
We love the Elkhart Faith Mission and all that they are doing to house and feed the needy, so it was so cool to be setting up one of their empty lots by the thrift store. We called this event "Free Hot Dog Day". All of their customers were invited. We went out on Friday night through the neighborhoods and invited everyone we could- and let me tell you, we had an incredible night of ministering Jesus. There is just something about a Friday night walking the streets in the hood sharing the life changing Gospel. There were several incredible encounters with folks who were just hanging out on their porches and front lawns. We loved on people, we prayed, we shared our testimonies, and we read scriptures that applied to their problems. We were being light in a spiritually dark place and we praise God as several called out to Him and many were brought under conviction.

The Saturday Free Hot Dog Day was awesome! The weather was totally beautiful and so many people came. We gave away four hundred hot dog meals. We testified, we witnessed, and we greeted and loved on all who came. We gave out many free Bibles and Christian books. The Face Painting and balloon ministry crew did an outstanding job loving on all of the children who came.

One Quick testimony from the outreach, we were praying with a family who could not find their money they had set aside for medication for their baby. They were frantically searching their pockets, wallets, purses, etc. They were so discouraged as the baby was ill and they had no other money to purchase the meds.

We had been talking to and ministering to this family. So as we laid hands on the baby and prayed over the child we also declared that the missing money would be found and accounted for and before we even said,"Amen," the one fellow was looking back through some things at the table, he found the missing $20.00 bill. He was shouting, "We found it! We found it..." We all erupted in joy and praise! Thanking God and praising Him! Amen. It was a great faith builder for this family and those who witnessed this.

Through the course of the day, several people called out unto the Lord during one-on-one witnessing encounters as we engaged with the people who came to the event. Many were broken as they shared their trials. We pointed them to Jesus as we know it is only through Christ that we overcome. We hugged on and loved on all who came, blessing them as we could. It was an awesome time. We were so thankful to lift up Jesus in a tangible way.

A big shout of thanks to all who gave financially to help make event possible, and we are so thankful to all who prayed and interceded as I believe much spiritual seed fell on good soil.

Please check out the pictures below. It is really true that a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks again!

Everyone is excited anticipating a great day sharing the love of Christ to this low income area.

For the last several days, the staff at the Mission have been handing out invite flyers to all the customers who have been in the Thrift Store sharing with them the upcoming event. We are calling it "Free Hot Dog Day" and many of the customer are excited to be coming back to be part of it. Also, this Friday we plan on going out to hit the streets around the Mission to minister and invite all the neighborhood residents. (If you would like to join us on Friday night to walk the streets, please contact me.) Please know this, we are pumped and excited! We believe this will be an impacting outreach to the glory of God!! I

You who are reading this, please pray about coming out to join us. It is this Saturday June 14th, from noon to 3pm.
