ELKHART STREET MINISTRY UPDATE

Kevin and I went out to the streets of Elkhart this past Friday night to minister Jesus. We always go with just trusting God to lead us to "whosoever".

Right off the get go we met two homeless people named Pat and Pam, both have been homeless for a couple of years. They were very bitter about their situation and had a real negative attitude toward God. Both of these folks are letting the devil and their situations dictate their lives. The devil does a good job, bringing despair and "woe is me" attitude. When we think the world owes me and God needs to do all this and that just for me.

We ministered straight with these two. I plainly shared with them the reality of a devil who is deceiving them into accepting these situations in their lives. I shared that God cares. that's why Jesus died for them. Now the question is what are you going to do with Jesus?

It's too easy to give up and think "I've tried prayer. No one cares!God when are you going to start doing things in my life?"

We ministered to them for about an hour and prayed with them.

By this time, it was getting dark and we walked down the river walk and ran into 2 families fishing (while the guys were fishing the 2 ladies and kids were waiting). We talked to them for at least an hour. The one guy I talked to was named Kyle - he is away from God and doing his own thing.

I shared with him about the judgment that is to come and his need for Jesus. I shared on sin and our depravity and how we will all fare on Judgment Day without Jesus. He seemed real quiet but he was listening. --Kevin was sharing and talking to the other guy, who was a Christian.

All in all we had a great night of sharing Gospel seed. Please keep Kyle in your prayers!!

LEITERS FORD OUTREACH UPDATE

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the prayers and support! The Leiters Ford outreach was awesome! Many families came to the outreach and were touched by the Spirit of God.

This is the typical housing in the area.

As I reflect on the outreach many things stand out. The music by 'PS150' was anointed ,as usual, we love ministering with these guys. They have such a heart for Jesus and ministry, it is a pleasure being with them.

The whole team of ministers did an outstanding job of loving everyone who attended. We served grilled food, We had face painting for the kids, We played games with the kids, We prayed for and ministering to all people.

God was really reaching out to this man named Billy. Here I am ministering to him. Rich and also Dave had spent quality time sharing with this gentlemen.

At the very end of the outreach we served the needy people large boxes of groceries and we had some great one on one ministry with them. Each box weighed about 50 Lbs. We were blessed to give 20 boxes of food which adds up to 1000 Lbs of food. PRAISE GOD!!

Matthew 25:35 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.."

We prayed with and ministered to everyone who came to receive box of groceries. Many were visibly touched by the Spirit of God and we are continuing to pray for them.

Rich and Debbie Rennier who live in Leiters Ford and operate a food bank for the needy will be following up with those who came. Much after-outreach ministry takes place as the Lord continues to soften hearts and draw people. Debbie will go right to the people's homes and check on them and build relationship with them ministering to the people both naturally and spiritually. Please keep Debbie and Rich in your prayers.

UPDATE: JUVENILE & STREETS

Things have been busy since the last update with Jail and Street ministry. Also, Jodi and I lead a group of youth, from our Church, to a local neighborhood to go door to door to minister Jesus and invite people to Church.

Last Wednesday night Jodi and I were at South Bend Juvenile and at the end of the meeting one of the young men stayed after to talk to us privately. He opened us with us confessing some evil things he was involved with. The young man was visibly broken and weeping as the weight of these sins were so heavy on him, he confessed to God and he asked for forgiveness. We shared God’s love, mercy and forgiveness and also that God will give him the ability to totally abandon that life style. –Without God ability in us we would all be still captive in our sins. Praise God for His ability in us!!

This last Friday night Kevin Privett and myself went out to downtown Elkhart and had an awesome “God-Appointment” with a man fishing. What was interesting about the conversation with guy is that he was sharing how God has been reaching out to him. The man’s name was Rich and he shared how last week a complete stranger ran up to him in a parking lot and said to him how God told him to share the Gospel with him…and Richard shared how he constantly thinks of death and wonders where he will go after he dies.

Kevin and I shared with Richard for a good period of time, but Richard was not ready to surrender his life to Jesus. – I am sometimes very perplexed how people can realize that God is reaching out to them and sending individuals across their path sharing salvation and hope after death through Jesus Christ and they still reject and refuse to yield their lives to Him. I have peace knowing that Richard heard the truth and I will continue to pray for him.

==Leiters-Ford / Tippy Shores Outreach:==
This outreach is October 13 from 11am to 4pm. (less than two week away) This is an impoverished area that desperately needs Jesus! A team of us lead by Rich and Debbie Rennier who live in Leiters-Ford (1 hour south of South Bend) will be ministering to the community with Free grilled food, free boxes of groceries given to the needy, games for the kids and the band ‘PS-150’ will me ministering in music. Please pray for souls to be saved as many unsaved people will be attending this event. Also – please pray for God’s provision. Anyone desiring to help at all please call me.

(Below is the flyer that will be posted around the area prior to the outreach)

Thanks for your prayers and support.
