JAIL MINISTRY UPDATE

Wednesday night at Elkhart County Jail went awesome!!
Rich & Debbie Rennier along with myself went to Elkhart County Jail for Ministry. It was a great evening of ministry. This really is an awesome harvest field.

Debbie hooked up with a team of ladies from a local church in Goshen. The ladies had three meetings and it went great!Debbie was able to share her testimony of God’s delivering power. Debbie was set free from unbelief, drugs, alcohol and being homeless on the streets of Chicago. Some of the lady inmates were weeping as the Sprit of God was moving and touching lives…Amen!!

Rich and I went to the first floor solitary confinement cells. These guys are away general population with two guys per cell or by themselves. We some great conversations with several men as we went cell to cell. Were able to go right into the cell blocks so its really a great opportunity to minister. We shared Jesus with all we talked to and prayed with the guys.

Please keep these inmates lifted up in your prayers: Will, Damien, Terrance, Brad, and Rick. God knows who they are and were planning on going back soon to continue to minister to them and others. Thanks God bless.

Follow-Up Went Awesome!!

Hi everyone!

We had a great time Sunday 1/14/06. Jodi and I went to follow-up on some of the people we met on the Christmas Basket Outreach. Praise God! We went to check on three different familes and we were invited into all the trailers. (just what we were praying for…Praise God!) We had an awesome time talking everyone and getting to know them better.

Groceries We brought to bless the needy

The first stop was single mom with 3 kids. Her name is Jenny, she struggling financially and is working a 3rd shift job within walking distance to her home. (she has no car) She was very thankful for the groceries we brought. 2 of children were home and we were able to minister to them and testify about Jesus to them. I’m sure it was little strange to them, 2 strangers bringing them food and talking about Jesus…I’m sure they will remember that for a while. We all prayed together. Jenny said she’s learning to trust God. We kept emphasizing that God is reaching out to her, and not to resist Him but talk to Him through prayer and reading His Word.

The next stop was an elderly couple named Frank and Carol. It was funny the gentlemen came to the door in his pajamas, which is how we met him the first time, and he joked about us catching him again in his pajamas. Anyway- It was nice to talk to them. We didn’t stay long as they were eating dinner. We prayed with them and encouraged them to keep going after God. They mentioned visiting our church.

The final stop was with a precious Hispanic couple named Flora & Fulstel. They live in a small trailer. They have two baby twin girls. Flora dose not speak English but she remembered Jodi’s name. I thought that was neat.

We brought them groceries and they were very thankful. It was a blessing talking to them. I got into a good conversation with Fulstul about Jesus and why Jesus came. Of course we were interrupted by the little twin girls crawling around. They were probably around a year and a half old. … But it was a blessing! One of the little girls is going to have surgery on her heart. So we all prayed together believing God for a miracle!!

It was an awesome day. Please keep all these people in your prayers. I know God is reaching out to them. Also please pray for us as we keep reaching out to be a blessing and do God's will.

God bless!!
