Ministry With Masters Commission at South Bend Juvenile Facility

The ministry at South Bend Juvenile yesterday was great!...I know people we praying because of the fact that entering into the facility went very smooth. Many times bringing in props, equipment and stuff into a full locked down prison can be time consuming and a frustrating ordeal-but it went very good. I know that God was in the midst from beginning to end. Also, the staff at the facility was great to work with. Many were thanking us for coming in they helped us out, they were cooperative and a blessing.

The Masters Commission group did a great job. These young adults have a great heart to minister and evangelize. God is working big time in their lives. It was an honor to be ministering with them.

All 120+ young inmates attended the meeting. So it was a little noisy and rowdy at first. But some of the funnier skits at the beginning broke the ice and won the young inmates over and the more serious dramas were touching their hearts, as God was moving and drawing many. John, the leader of the group had a great word explaining the cross and the choice we as individuals need to make to follow Jesus. He tied his message into the last skit “daring to move” (a Switchfoot song)- it was powerful.

The prayer/altar time with the guys went great. Many came up for prayer. The young inmates I prayed with seemed very sincere and wanted God to help them in their struggles. We were able to invite many to attend the Life Line meetings we have every Friday. Many of the guys assured they would come to the meeting and learn more about Jesus. We must have prayed with at least half the guys or more as they kept coming up to all of us for prayer. It was powerful and the Holy Sprit was doing a work on so many.
