Street Ministry Update: Young Man Surrenders His Life

Its so exciting to go out and share the Gospel. People need Jesus! We Christian's have the solution. Many people are hurting - many are confused - many are deceived - many are plain just ignorant. I desire to do my part to reach them with the saving Gospel.

Larry Christopuls, Keven Privett and myself went out last night to minister Jesus on the streets of Elkhart. We met at the plaza in downtown Elkhart and headed out. We go just trusting Jesus to lead us-We have no certain agenda or program-Just being lead of the Holy Spirit.

God lead us to a young man named William who was just sitting on a plaza bench waiting for his ride to show up. This certainly was a "God set-up" and we engaged a conversation with him and talked with him for about 45 minutes. He shared his desire to be set free from destructive habits and a lifestyle that was a mess.

We shared with him the Gospel and God's desire to set him free from sin and destruction.
William surrendered his life tonight to Jesus to serve Him and live for Him! PRAISE GOD!!
I cant help but think of what Jesus said: "tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." Luke 15:7 Amen!!

We shared with William the importance of reading the Word and prayer and being discipled.
He lives near a Full Gospel Church and he knows the Pastor. He said he was going to go to Church this Sunday and talk to the Pastor.

We went on our way rejoicing!

We then met a young man who was a muslim and spend a great deal of time ministering to him.
He was really confused and deceived. We planted some awesome Gospel seed, believing God to keep convicting and drawing this man.

We then came across a man, named John, who just recently got out of jail and has been fighting with his wife, he left her and is living on the streets. He knows the truth of the Gospel but is not willing to surrender all to Jesus. We must have ministered to him for nearly and hour. Sharing the Word with him and pleading with him to give his entire life to Jesus.

Kevin bought the man some food at McDonalds and was going back Saturday to continue ministering to him. Please pray for Kevin to have the right words and for John to come to Jesus!

It was great evening ministering Jesus on the streets. If anyone would desire to come out with us please contact me. Were praying for God to keep sending laborers to go out where the lost are.

God bless
Steve

UPDATE FROM SOUTH BEND JUVENILE: SUNDAY LIFELINE MEETINGS

Here's a quick from one of the Life Line ministers John Orsini. John attends a Full Gospel Church in Benton Harbor, MI. John leads the Life Line Meetings every Sunday at South Bend Juvenile and has been faithful ministering with Life Line for 1 year now. John is an awesome brother in the Lord. His passion is to see the power of God in operation: Healing, Saving, Delivering and setting the captives free.

Bro John Orsini update:

Today, Sunday, June 17, 2007, one young inmate at South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility gave his heart to Jesus. We met after the regular class time. After some one-on-one time together, he had a desire and was willing to repent of his lifestyle of sinning and also to forgive his dad for abandoning him when he was only a year old.

We had a good talk about changing from the old way of living to the new way, before he make the choice to be saved. When he prayed in his own words the confession of faith in Jesus being raised from the dead, asked for and received forgiveness for his sins, Holy Spirit touched him physically with a tingling sensation about his neck and head, as a manifestation of His presence. Awesome and faithful God!!!

I received from Holy Spirit that the relationship with his dad would eventually be restored and that it would be a good relationship. No date was given, but I know that it will come to pass. I told him what I received. I received it very strongly along with a physical sensation over most of my body, as the young man was speaking out forgiveness for his dad. I am always amazed at how Holy Spirit works. I am so grateful. He is so good. No words can really convey how good He is.

I have been going to South Bend Juvenile for a little over a year now. I go in Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 and meet one-on-one after count time if anyone wants to talk.

Blessings,

John Orsini

MISSION SUNDAY AT ELIJAH’S FIRE CHILDREN CHURCH “THE ZONE”

“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8) This is the scripture we shared with the young people in the “Zone”, the Children’s Church at our local home church ELIJAH’S FIRE INTERNATIONAL CHURCH for Mission Sunday.

Several times a year in the “Zone”, the focus for the entire class is missions. Missionaries come in and speak to the children about their mission work that God has given them to reach the world with the Gospel. It was a neat thing sharing with the young people how you don’t have to go around the world to be a missionary. We have a ripe harvest field right here in America. We also shared the importance of how we’re all to be active in spreading the Gospel and reaching the world for Jesus whether it’s in Africa or to our next door neighbor.

Jodi and I had a great time sharing with the young people what God has been doing in the South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility. The kids in the “Zone” really have a heart for Jesus and to see souls saved.

Putting their faith in action the Kids in the Zone did two activities to reach out to the students locked up in a local Juvenile that Jodi and I minister at. The first thing they did was they wrote a letter to the students locked up sharing with them that they are praying for them and they asked a question to them. Jodi and I brought these sheets in last week and the students at South Bend Juvenile Facility read the letter and replied back to the kids in the Zone. It really was amazing seeing the replies and the interaction both ways in this. It was touching.

The second thing that the Zone kids did to reach out to the juvenile inmates was they put together “commissary bags”. This was really a cool idea and it was such a blessing.

“Commissary” items are items such as: soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, etc. “Commissary” items for the juvenile inmates are difficult to come by, unless their parents supply them with all these items the juvenile inmates will only receive a few items. This was an awesome act of God’s love by the Zone and they had a blast putting them together.

Jodi and I want to give a big “thanks” and “God bless” to all of the Zone adult workers and leaders. Kent and Darlen Dubois are doing a great job along with all the servants.

God bless you guys!! It was an awesome day!!

AWESOME NIGHT OF STREET MINISTRY!!

We Had a great time on the streets of Elkhart tonight!! Larry Christoplus and myself headed to down town Elkhart to share Jesus!! It was a great evening. With the temperature over 90 degrees there were many people outside wandering around.

Larry Serves as an Elder in a Full Gospel Church he attends in Bristol, IN. Best of all Larry loves Jesus with all his heart!! and he has a passion to see people reached with the Gospel.
We had no other agenda than to be lead of the Spirit and minister to those who God brought across our path.

We met this gentleman named John in the back alley of the Faith Mission. He has been a resident at the Mission for three years. He shared with us his conversion testimony also his need for deliverance to tobacco. We prayed for him to be set free and for God to give him the strength to resist the temptation.

We met Dennis on the streets tonight. He shared with me the struggles and trials he's been dealing with multiple illnesses and mental problems with suicide thoughts. It was literally heart breaking to hear this man situation. But I know nothing is impossible with God. I shared the Gospel with him and read to him from the Word, letting him know that Jesus loves him and wants to minister to his every need. Please say a prayer for Dennis.

We met these 2 guys on the civic plaza. Two brothers in the Lord who were just chillin' or try to get cool. We talked to them for a while and encouraged them in the Lord.

We ministered to several other people tonight. One that stands out is a young man named Kevin. He had just gotten off work and was walking home. He crossed paths with us and we started ministering the Gospel to him. He admitted he was away from God and living a life of sin. We pleaded with him to repent, that no man is promised tomorrow. We laid it on the line with him sharing what the Bible has to say about Eternal Judgment and Hell fire. We did share that God loved him and desired to save him but he had to come to God on God's terms. One thing I learned a while ago, I will never water down the repentance message to get a few "decisions" or to just say a "little prayer". The Bible says no man come to the Father unless the Spirit of God draws him. Yes, it broke my heart to see Kevin walk away from the Gospel. But I know Kevin heard the truth and my prayer is that God by the Holy Spirit will continue to convict and draw Kevin to true conversion "total surrender to Jesus"!! Amen!! Please say a prayer for Kevin.

Praise God!! It was a great night!! Thanks for all your prayers!!

God Bless,
-Steve

JUVENILE MINISTRY IS GOING GREAT!!

Jodi and Ihad an awesome meeting tonight (Wed. 6/13/7) at South Bend Juvenile Correctional Facility (pictured above)...We ministered to 12 troubled teenagers and it was great! Sharing the Gospel and praying with them. Many are really hungry for God!!

Several prayed and called out to Jesus. PRAISE GOD!! One young man who has been hungering after Jesus shared how he has been tormented by thoughts and desires to "Cut himself", he had marks and scars all over his arms..We know its a tormenting spirit abusing him. He asked for prayer for the ability to stop. He said he was a Christian and Jesus is his Lord. So we prayed for him and it was powerful!! We commanded that evil tormenting spirit to leave him and be cast away and for him to be set free!! ...In Jesus Name!!

We were able to minister to a young man who's father I know and have ministered with in the County Jail. Jodi and I were able to encourage him in the Lord and we prayed for him. When we left he had a smile on his face...All in all it was a great evening. PRAISE GOD!!

Anyone interested in ministering in here with us..please contact me.

God bless

-Steve

I know its been a while since I updated. I’ve been super busy! God is truly touching lives and ministering to those who seek Him.

Ministry at the Elkhart County Jail is going great! I visited a new cell block this last
Tuesday (5/29/06) and it was absolutely incredible. It was Cell-Block #12, which is the medical ward. I’d estimate that 30 guys may be in this particular ward.

I had the opportunity to speak to at least half of the guys as they gathered around a table.
Many were touched by the Spirit of God. I shared about the difference between “mental belief” in God compared to “true-saving faith”. I believe many received the Word and the Holy Spirit is drawing them.

I also had the opportunity to pray the sick and believe God to touch lives and minister healing. One inmate named Smith testified that he felt the presence of God touch his injured forearm and pain leave. PRAISE GOD!!.. Thank you JESUS!!

Please keep the guys in cell block #12 in your prayers.

Blessings,
Steve
