The raffle give away of the 20 restaurant gift cards was a great success! Of course, it was a blessing to those who won, but it also kept the people staying in the ministry area as they had to be present to win a prize. We gave away five gift cards every half hour. So people stayed much of the whole time. Also, to get a ticket, the people had to fill out a gospel survey sheet, which gets their contact information but best of all, it asks some pointed questions in regards to salvation so we can gauge the persons spiritual walk. It also allows us to share more effectively the Gospel with everyone. So it worked out great and we had some incredible ministry witnessing and sharing the gospel to all who came.
We were able to bless (for free) everyone who came with hotdogs and grilled cheese sandwiches. A total of one hundred and fifty grilled cheese sandwiches were served along with three hundred hotdogs along with chips plus New China restaurant donated 3big tubs of egg-rolls and rice (what a blessing.)
The new PA system was up and going and it did an excellent job! Brother Jeff Cooper one of the Pastor’s of Christian Center Church delivered an awesome evangelistic message exhorting the people to get serious about their walk with Jesus and to make Him Lord of their lives. The public call to come forward and repent was powerful as ten folk came forward to get right with God. It was an awesome thing to witness and be part of.
The area kids who came to the event were ministered to by face painting and games. Those who helped with that did an outstanding job. The clothing give away was a total blessing along with the free Bibles that were made available. Two skids of food boxes were brought and handed out. The people were much appreciative to all that was made available to them.
To cap off the day, Sean and Leigh lead us all in closing hour of praise and worship. It was awesome outreach. A big shout of thanks and Praise to the Lord for His direction and for all of His kids who helped serve, pray and give-To God be the glory!
I had an opportunity to meet and talk with Joel Adams, who is the leader of the Miami Hills Tenant Association. He was utterly thrilled with the turn out. He was so appreciative for all the love he seen to the Miami Hills community. He was so impressed with the unity the team showed. He made comment to me about how vital it was that we came into Miami Hills the past two weeks on Friday night to meet the people and invite them face to face to the outreach. I totally agree with him and really that it why we do it.
Again, A big shout to all who served and gave of their time, I assure you it was worth it seeing souls come to Jesus! By the way, eleven folk from Miami Hills were picked up and brought to Church through the bus ministry yesterday (Sunday). Glory to God!!.
