3 Outreaches Coming Up In December

The mission and goal of 180 Outreach ministries has always been and always will be sharing the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ-to see lives come out of darkness and into the light of Christ. We do this in a variety of ways from, Jail ministry events, street witnessing, outreach block parties in low income areas, to Juvenile detention Centers. We aim to reach the unreachable's.

The Christmas season is my favorite time of the year, this is the time of year we celebrate the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. And also, this is an incredible time of the year to reach out with His love-being the hands, feet and mouth piece of Jesus. Amen.

We at 180 outreach Ministries have three scheduled outreach events planned this Christmas season and we so appreciate your prayers and support. Below we will have a brief description of each outreach and ways that you may help. Again, we thank you for your prayers and any help you can provide.

December 5th we will be ministering at the Teen Challenge Center here in Elkhart, IN. Teen Challenge is a residential Christian recovery program that is geared towards life recovery for men eighteen years and older who have struggled with addictions- drugs and alcohol being the predominate vice. For many of these guys this is their last chance to get it right.

This will be our third year ministering a Christmas Chapel at Teen Challenge. We come in with pizza, have special music, we preach and pray but most of all we love on the guys, encouraging them to keep pressing on with their walk with Jesus.

One of the things we love to do for the guys at this event is to bless every one of the TC students with a Christmas gift bag. We fill these bags with socks, tooth paste, soap, shaving cream, razors- that kind of stuff along with some Christian books and wrist bands, a cross that they can wear. We believe that as love is extended in a tangible way, hearts soften and the living Christ can bring healing and restoration. This is our prayer and this is why we love to reach out and bless TC.

Please pray about being part of this outreach. If you live close by, please come out and be part of it. If you desire to contribute some items for the Christmas gift bags that would be awesome. If you would like to give financially toward this that is good too. But by all means, please pray for the Lord to do a life changing work in this Christmas Chapel.
(Dec 5th- 1111 W Bristol St, Elkhart, IN 46514 at 7pm)

Our second outreach in December will be Saturday the 13th at Elkhart Juvenile Detention Facility. The Lord recently opened this door to minister to troubled youth and it has been a total blessing! We have a one hour time slot on Saturdays and we are planning on using the 13th of December to share the Christmas message to the students and bless them with a Christmas gift bag similar to the Teen Challenge bags. We are excited and know the Lord will move in a incredible way!

And lastly, on Dec. 19th, 180 Outreach will be conducting its ninth annual “Christmas Box Outreach To The Needy.” We have had some incredible moments and memories from the past years and we are excited for what God is going to do this year! Amen!

We will be targeting some very needy people in the Elkhart area (around twelve families) and hand delivering these Christmas Boxes right into their homes. These will be prearranged appointments-so the people will know we are coming and they will be waiting for us. The ministry opportunities for an outreach like this are incredible! As we will literally be in the homes of people to love on them, bless them, testify to them, and offer prayer as we build relationships with them sharing the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is going to be incredible! I am excited!

These Christmas Boxes will be stuffed full as our aim is to have enough food in them for these families to make a holiday meal. So we are including a 5lb ham and all the trimmings to make this happen. We also plan on blessing these families’ children and teenagers with a Christmas gift. Doing what we can to make an impact for Christ!

We are estimating that each Christmas box will cost around $25.00. If anyone would like to donate food items toward this outreach please see the list below. Those of you who would like to contribute financially to this outreach or the Teen challenge outreach you can donate two ways:

Important Anouncement!... Mininstry name change....

I have a very important announcement to make. I am pleased to announce that Lifeline Outreach Ministries has changed its name to “180 Outreach Ministries.”

Due to a similar ministry name with another ministry in our local area (Elkhart, IN ) the decision was made to change our name. So, as of August 18th, 2014 we are changing the name of our ministry to 180 Outreach Ministries. New name, same ministry!

We feel this name change reflects our passionate, unmistakable, contagious desire to spread the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Changes lives and when we completely turn to Him and surrender all to Him-our lives will change!

This name change has been approved by the 180 Outreach Ministry Board and the State of Indiana. So we are excited to be pressing forward with this transition.  Below is a list of some changes that will be taking place.

Email: we have a new email address 180outreachministries@gmail.com. Future emails will now be from this address.

Facebook Page: I have contacted Facebook and we have started the process to change the current Lifeline Outreach Page to our new name 180 Outreach Ministries. This process takes a week or two. So hopefully we will see that page change to the new one. We will keep everyone updated on this development.

Partners: Since now our ministry bank account name will now change, please make checks out to 180 Outreach Ministries. Also, we will be updating the Paypal account.

Address: Our ministry mailing address stays the same: 180 Outreach Ministries, 23060 Scottswood Ct., Elkhart, IN 46514

We will keep you informed as all of these changes (and more) as they develop through email and Facebook, so please be in the lookout.

Thank you for being a part of and for supporting our ministry as you have, each one of you has played an important role of why we do what we do. We ask that you have grace for this transition time and pray grace for us as well. It is a lot of work, but we know it will be worth it!

Blessings in Christ,

South Bend RE-entry Update "Concert In The Courtyard" 2014

Great turnout

We just concluded our 2nd annual “Concert In The Courtyard” at the South Bend Re-entry Facility. It was a marvelous time lifting up the name of Jesus and serving and loving on the guys. We give a big shout of thanks to all who were praying and interceding for this event. The weather was beautiful, the checking in went smooth, we started on time, it was a glorious day!

The band “Out of the Dust” was with us. These brothers are super talented, but that isn’t what makes them so awesome, no- it’s their humble Christ like spirits they have. They ministered in song with some testimonies they did a awesome job. Thanks brothers!!

We had much opportunity to talk with the inmates before the event (as the band was doing sound checks), the staff allowed us to walk through the living area to talk with and invite the guys to the event. And God was gracious as he opened up some incredible talks with the guys. We exhorted them to call out to Jesus, sharing scripture and testifying

The event started with the band playing and ministering in song, they also shared some powerful testimonies. Between sets of songs Brother Frankie came up an exhorted the men-inviting them to come to the weekly Bible Study that he and his Church conduct on Sundays. They also take guys to Church in the mornings. Frankie invited them to sign up. And it was awesome as we were all blessed by one of Frankie’s poems that he shared! Amen. Thanks Frankie.

After the music ministry, we got into the word. God put on my heart a message that I titled, “Casting Stones and Taming the Beast.” I read from two portions of scripture, one in John 8:1-11and the other in Genesis 4:1-9…Sharing with the guys that God offers hope and mercy to the repentant and He will help us and empower us to master sin. At the conclusion of the message several men came forward to pray and call out to Jesus. Praise you Lord!

We were blessed to bring all our outreach equipment into the courtyard- our grill, tables, chairs, tents etc. So after the word and prayer we served up over three hundred and fifty hotdogs to the guys and the staff. We had a great time of fellowshipping. This again allowed us to witness, testify and lift of the name of Jesus! Which we did!

Our prayer is that these men will continue to move toward Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. We pray that those who were seeking or curious were stirred by the Spirit of God to read the Bible they received today and be touched & changed by the power of the Holy Spirit

We appreciate those who gave, prayed and served today. We could have done this without you. The body of Christ moving together reaching out a loving hand is a powerful thing. We continue to pray for the Lord of the harvest to bring forth laborers into the harvest field as the fields are ripe for harvest!... God bless you all!...Thanks for reading and your prayers.

Please check out the pictures below…
**Also, be on alert…. Some major news coming soon- in regard to Lifeline Outreach Ministries.

God bless you all!
