Today I start a new area of ministry at the Elkhart County
Jail. I will be going in and visiting inmates directly in the Wards (their
living area). I have a total of four wards I will be visiting, with each ward
holding around fifty to seventy guys. This ministry time will allow me to have
direct contact with all the inmates in these wards that are eligible to attend
the Thursday Bible Service (meeting).
The goal of these visitations is to meet new guys, to
evangelize, share Jesus, offer prayer and invite those interested to attend the
Thursday Night Bible Service. I am praying and trusting God for a incredible
impact of the Gospel to touch these men's lives.
The Thursday Night Bible Service has been averaging around
seven to ten guys. I am expecting the attendance to at least double as personal
invitations are extended plus prayers and intercession go forth.
So many of these guys are caught in a rut of sin, bondage
and vice with no real answers or hope. But there is hope! There is freedom! And
there is an answer! And that is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ!
As we turn to Him and obey what He says- freedom, peace, joy, true life will
come! ...Amen!
Please pray I will be in the wards for visitation today
(Wednesday) from 7pm - 9pm. Also pray for the Bible Service meeting every
Thursday from 6:30pm till 9pm.
Thanks so much!
