Christmas Outreach Updates

Hi Friends of 180 Outreach,

Merry Christmas! and hope everyone is doing well!

I would like to thank all of you who prayed and supported us toward these three Christmas Outreaches we had this month. Below is a brief update with the pictures of these events. It is always a blessing to witness and testify of Jesus and Christmas time just makes it that much better. Thanks again and God bless!

Teen Challenge Christmas Chapel (4th annual)

We had a great time at Teen Challenge loving on the students and worshiping with everyone. Always a great time! We opened up with the night with a great meal together. A shout of thanks to the 180 team for preparing that and making that available for the staff and students. We were also blessed to have special music with us as PS150 from Knox, IN joined us along with two brothers from San Antonio, TX. Jarrell Flowers and A-ron. And let me tell you, the place jammed for Jesus!!.. It was awesome! We also had a great time praying together, plus I brought a message entitled, "Being on Guard". After the Chapel time it was a blessing to hand out to every student a Christmas Bag. We loaded them up with some awesome stuff. The night was awesome!

  

Elkhart Juvenile Detention Christmas Party (2nd annual)

We had an incredible time with the incarcerated students. Ten students were able to attend; the ages ranged from thirteen to sixteen. They were very open to the fellowship we brought and the time we all had together. We were able to bring in pizza, we shared some Christmas Poems, (one student, a gal, shared her poem- “The 12 Days of Christmas at JDC” …ha! It was hilarious! but very gifted. We had some great dialog together. We broke into the Word, I shared a message on the “True Meaning Of Christmas” the response was great as we all prayed and called out to Jesus! We brought in and handed out some nice Christmas Bags to every students. It was a great night! thanks to all the team that came and helped.

  

Christmas Box Outreach (10th annual)

I totally love this outreach as this gives us opportunity to go right into peoples homes and minister to them. We received names and contact info from the local Jail of family members of those incarcerated.  So we were literally able to go to these homes with a food box and Christmas gifts for their kids to love on these people, to pray and testify to them about Jesus. It is an incredible time!

We had a total of eleven families that we ministered to. Another cool thing was I had three former Teen Challenge Students helping me deliver these boxes. ( Al, Justin and Chad) These guys all completed their time at TC, they live locally, and it what great having them with me to minister to the needy. Also on the final night of delivering the boxes, I had my Dad out in the mix helping out... thanks Pops!

All of these families were real needy, so it was blessing to be able to help them with food and gifts for their children. Some "highlights" from outreach:  

Our very first stop we met a young man named Mason. After a short time of greeting each other he started opening up, as the Spirit of God was ministering to him in strong way. He shared of an addiction that he had been clean from for two weeks, but he was still dealing with the battle of it in his mind. Plus a recent divorce was also a battle he was dealing with. We all prayed and encouraged him. The TC brothers were really able to sow into him with testifying of their battles and victories. We all prayed for Mason and exchanged phone numbers- please keep him in prayer.

Another stop we had I was able to give a ten year old girl her very first Bible. What a blessing that was! I shared to her and her Grandma why Jesus came and  our responsibility to respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. We all prayed together calling out to Jesus.

We stopped at one home and the young woman answered the door while she was on the phone with her incarcerated husband. He was the one who signed her up. It was so cool as she put him on speaker phone and we all prayed together! Only God could work the timing out like that! Glory to God!

We also came into some homes that were not so friendly. Some of the people had stone faces and were silent giving only one word answers as we tried to create dialog. But we planted Gospel seed, sharing the judgment to come. Now we trust God for His drawing and prompting to their hearts. Amen.

We were able to pray for man named Larry, he had a work related accident to his hip. We prayed as we laid hands on him calling on the name of Jesus for healing.

All in all it was an incredible three days of ministering to folk in their homes. Along with the Food Box, Kids Presents and big Ham we gave everyone a Bible and we invited them to our Church homes, plus we loaded the boxes up with Gospel tracts, trusting they would be read and meditated on. So praise Jesus! We trust God to draw and prompt.

Christmas's Outreach Update

Quick update....

Pumped and excited!... The Teen Challenge Christmas Chapel is tonight!.. We got all the food and we made up all the gift bags.. (see pics below) The meeting starts at 6:45pm (1111 W Bristol St
Elkhart IN 46514) Special music coming in. We will be preaching, praying and loving on the guys.. It's going to be gooooood!!!...lol

Tuesday is the Juvenile Detention Christmas Outreach. (De. 15th) We will be ministering to around a dozen troubled kids, loving on them, offering Bibles, sharing the true meaning of Christmas and praying for them. It's going to be awesome! We recently bought the gifts and made of the Christmas bags. Also, we will be providing pizza.

Finally, December 19th and 20th we will be delivering Christmas Boxes to inmates families that are in our area. This is an incredible opportunity to be the hands, feet, and mouth piece for Jesus. We will be delivering these Christmas Boxes right into their home. We will also bless the Children with a Christmas gift. This will be incredible! I went out yesterday and got all the food. We are excited to sharing the love of Jesus. Please keep us in prayer.

3 Christmas Outreaches planned in December

We have three Christmas Outreaches planned in December. I love the Christmas season and really, what a great time to witness and testify of Jesus!

All three of these outreaches we will be reaching out with blessings, witnessing, testifying and sharing the life changing Gospel.

            December 11th we will be ministering at North Central Indiana Teen Challenge. This will be our fourth annual Christmas Chapel. This year we have special music  with PS 150 from Knox, IN and Jerrell Flowers from San Antonio, TX. We will be serving the guys at TC the evening meal that we will bring in; plus we will be serving up the Word of God and pre-service prayer. Also, we will put together some awesome Christmas Gift Bags to bless each of the twenty five students going through the program.

            

            December 15th we will be ministering at Elkhart Juvenile Detention Facility. This will be our second year reaching out to troubled youth at this facility with a Christmas Outreach. Along with music, testimonies, and sharing the true meaning of Christmas we will bless the students with pizza and an individual Christmas gift.

            December 19th we will be conducting our tenth annual Christmas Outreach to the Community. We have had some incredible times blessing folks in past years. This year we have an incredible opportunity as we will be blessing the families of inmates who are currently locked up in the Elkhart County Jail. Not only will we be blessing them with a nice food box but also, getting Christmas gifts for their children. We will deliver these Christmas Boxes right to their homes, which will give us opportunity to connect with the families and most of all share the life changing Gospel.

All these events will be incredible and I am personally believing for folk to experience "life-change" as they come to know Jesus! This is why we do these outreaches- to reach the rejects, to reach folk who are at wits end, to bring deliverance to those who are bound. Jesus came to set the captives free! This is our goal to set before people JESUS! as only HE can bring life change.

Please pray for us. Obviously, to do events like these cost money. The gift bags and food boxes alone will range from $20.00 to $25.00  Some of you may want to give to buy one box or a couple of them. Please know that whatever you give- "all" the money will fully go toward these events. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Priority One Conference

Hi Friends of 180 Outreach Ministries,

I have a prayer request for you. This coming Sunday, November 1st I will be traveling to a conference in New Orleans, LA  for a time of ministry, impartation and equipping. I will will be staying till Friday Nov. 6th.

RAVEN Ministries is hosting a Priority One Conference on New Testament Christianity. Pastor Troy Bohn, founder and director of RAVEN Ministries, has been a leader, mentor and example to me for several years and this is quite a opportunity for me to be able to attend this conference.

Not only will we be having conference type meetings with worship, word and training classes but we will also be ministering on the streets of New Orleans with preaching and soul winning efforts as we will be part of RAVEN Street Church on Bourbon St.

I am excited and pumped and a little nervous. Ha!.. I dont do plane rides well (motion sickness). So I am asking for prayer, not only in regards to the plane ride, but also that God will impart to me all that He desires. And for the divine connections that will take place with the other street ministers that will be gathering for this event, plus prayer for the ministry we will be doing on the streets.

Modrell Ave. Outreach Update

Another incredible outreach on August 29th as we ministered to a needy area on the north side of Elkhart- (Modrell Ave.) We praise God that the rain didn't slow us down nor any of the neighborhood people, as the turn out was incredible! We served over 250 hotdogs and 120 grilled cheese. The neighborhood kids enjoyed the bounce house, face painting and puppets. Many of the people were helping themselves to the free clothing and we gave out many new Bibles and children's Bibles. We had some gift card raffles and several families were blessed as they won a free  gift card.

Through out the whole day we had lots of one on one ministry conversations going on as we witnessed and testified about Jesus, praying with folk and planting Gospel seeds.

One of the highlights of the day, was a lady who came to the block party through a flyer she found at a area laundry mat. The interesting thing about that was we had not put any flyers in this laundry mat. (God is good!)  She found the flyer and attempted to, on foot-as she had no vehicle- to find the outreach. Her story was, after wandering the streets for an hour she found the outreach site. She was able to get some free food and clothing but best off all, she responded to the Gospel message as Brother Josh Eaton from Teen Challenge delivered the Word. She came forward to receive forgiveness and get her life on track with Jesus!!... PTL!

A big shout of thanks to all the team who gave of their Saturday to serve and share the love of Jesus! Also, a big shout of thanks to all who prayed and gave toward this outreach event. Thank you!!
