This Friday night (8-7-09) were heading back out to minister on the Streets. We will be meeting at our usual starting place, McDonald's parking lot on Main Street-Elkhart at 6:30pm. Bring some tracts if you want to pass them out..Hopefully we'll meet some folk from the outreach to follow up with. Be prayed up and ready! Any question call me. God bless! ~Steve 574-612-0555

**Also, a heads up-- were planning another outreach (a little smaller scale...lol..) toward the end of August. More info to come later.--We'll be targeting the Harrison Street area. So we'll be heading over in that direction on Friday as well.

BROKENNESS

Brokenness will be more of a requirement in the days to come. God is looking for broken vessels, to do His will. In fact, I believe He is insisting upon it more and more. God is wanting us to be a vessel fit for His glory to reside and for Him to trust us, brokenness needs to come.

I believe there is coming a time and is upon us, when we will begin to accept the refiners fire of God and actually ask for more of it. Especially those of us who have been given the revelation of just how precious that refinement is, knowing that it is bringing us forth as gold.

I liken this brokenness to the story of Mary who sat at the feet of Jesus as the pharisees rebuked her. She took the bottle of alabaster and “BROKE” the bottle and the seal so that she could anoint Jesus with her most precious gift. She wiped His feet with her tears as she poured out her love to Him. “We” are that bottle that needs to be broken. When broken, the fragrance of that brokenness will be so glorious before the Lord that it will rise to His nostrils and be most pleasing in His sight.

The breaking that God is wanting in us is the type that brings forth humility and a contrite spirit which is of greater worth in the sight of the King. Yes, we will face resistance from outside forces, but that will only cause us to push in closer to the Lord. For us to remain stagnant would be like death to us, for He is building within us an internal push for more of Him and we cannot remain still. Mundane routines are very hard for us to endure, for a fire is blazing within us, the fire of a revival!

Like the revivalists of old, we will encounter great difficulty. We may face impassable mountains, dense brush, intense heat, severe cold, we may battle sickness and disease, face wild animals, we may deal with hunger and thirst as well as enemies. You can be certain there was much fighting in the ranks….. It will take the strong to endure all this. The price is high, the cost is everything. Most of our battle will occur in the mind, but also in the natural and in the spiritual realm. But always keep in mind that the King of Kings goes before us and will light our path. If He is for us, who can be against us? He never said this walk would be easy. He only said, pick up your cross and follow Me.

He is still saying that today. May our spirit be quick to say, "Yes Lord, I will follow You wherever You lead".

Hallelujah! Praise God to the King....... The Lord will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

God Bless!
