Larry Christopoulos and myself went out to the downtown area of Elkhart this last Friday (Aug-17th) to share the Gospel and minister Jesus to whosoever. It turned out to be one of those situations that only God can orchestrate. ..What a divine appointment!!
We went behind McDonald's on Main street and started talking to a group of guys we’ve met in the past. These are where some homeless men hang. We were sharing the Word with them and we noticed a new guy with them who really didn’t fit in with these guys. Larry started sharing with him and I talked with the other guys to give Larry an opportunity to minister to this man without these other guys butting in.
This new man’s name was Miguel he just came in from Chicago, a 33 year old man running from his problems. We took him inside McDonald's and bought him something to eat and talked to him and ministered to him.
A couple of real neat things about meeting Miguel is this man had just finished praying one hour before we met him. He was pray for God to help him; that he was sick of his life- sick of the drugs- sick of the alcohol sick of where he was at in his life. He was crying out for God to help him and God lead us right to him. PRAISE GOD!!.. God answers prayer!!
Miguel renounced the drugs – he renounced the alcohol and totally surrendered his life to Jesus!! We ministered to him for a good couple of hours and got him lodging for the night. His plans are to hook up at the Faith Mission where they minister to the residents and to get a job and go back home.
Please keep Miguel in your prayers!!

Leiters-Ford Outreach Follow-up
God has been doing great things since the July 28th outreach at Leiters-Ford.
Below is a note from Debbie Rennier, her and her husband Rich live in Leiters-Ford, IN. This area is very impoverished and the need is great.
Debbie and Rich operate a food bank in the community and this has really opened some doors for them to share Jesus!! The prior July 28th outreach really touched many lives and is bearing lasting fruit.
The Lord has led for us to have another community outreach; the date will be Saturday October 13th. *Anyone at all desiring to help with this outreach please contact me
(Debbie’s Note:)
“The people that live in this area struggle everyday to live. To be aware of this and to share in their plight is truly heartbreaking.
A woman named Lilly who attended, said " No one has ever done this for the people here. It is like we are forgotten by everyone."
Two days after the outreach I took some food to a family who did not get there in time to get any groceries. The woman of the house immediately invited me in to meet her husband. So many families do not do that the first time I visit them. I believe this was a direct result of the Lord's outreach. I was able to talk to them about the Lord, it was an awesome time.
Another lady came to me and asked to talk about Jesus. A grandmother and her two grandchildren have been attending church services for the first time.
I am continuing to follow-up with all of those who attended and am believing for more fruit for our Kings Glory.
The impact of this little outreach has been truly wonderful. The people of this area continue to talk about it and to inquire of our plans. So the Lord has lead us to have another outreach on Sat Oct 13. So I ask you to raise up your prayers to the Almighty about this day, that lives might be changed and hearts turned to our Lord for His Glory.”
Thank you and God bless Deb Rennier
Praise God!!
Thanks everyone for your prayers! If anyone has a desire to head out with us some time to minister Jesus, please contact me were ministering weekly in the Elkhart County Jail, Elkhart & S. Bend Juvenile Facilities and the streets and parks of Elkhart.
God bless!

JAIL - STREETS MINISTRY UPDATE
The Jail Ministry is going great! We've been going in steady consistently once a week and God is really touching lives. The Word is be preached and guys are being discipled.
Last Monday Bro. Rich and Bro John and I went in and had an awesome time ministering the Word and praying with guys. The young guy Josh who committed his life to the Lord a couple of weeks ago is meeting with us and learning the Word. --Please keep him in your prayers as he is waiting to be transferred to a State facility to fulfill his four year sentence.
This last Friday Night 5 of us hit the downtown area of Elkhart to minister Jesus. Bro Larry had 2 brothers from his Church, New Life Christian Center in Bristol. These two brothers were eager to share Jesus and it was awesome having them come out! JP and Won had a great time as Larry took them to back alleys where they ministered Jesus to some homeless men and they all got to pray and testify about the King of Kings!!!
Kevin and I went to the parks down by the river and we had a few "God appointments". We first met a family coming back from McDonald's and we shared and ministered to them and prayed with them. One of the young men in the family was sharing how he wanting to get back into Bible reading. --Praise God!! God had us at the right place at the right time to encourage them.
We then went to the Island Park and met a group of 6 to 7 young people that were doing some "fantasy role-playing game" When we started sharing Jesus all bedlam broke loose. They were mocking God, arguing, wanting to debate. We were able to share truth from the Word and plant the seeds of the Gospel. Even thou it was a hostile environment the Word went forth and everyone heard the truth!!
It was a great night sharing Jesus!!
God bless!!
-Steve
