Christmas Box Outreach -Coming up December 15th

Greetings everyone,

Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to read this blog update. I want to share with you some upcoming information in regards to this year’s Life Line Christmas Outreach.

We are supper excited! This will be our seventh annual Christmas outreach to our local communities, and what an awesome time to minister the true message of Christmas, which is the celebration of God sending Jesus to earth to reach and save the lost. Amen

The goal of this outreach, like all of our outreaches, is to share the love of Christ to people who frankly don’t get much love. Many of the people we minister to are not Church people. Many of them feel rejected and unwanted. And because of this, they are held captive to many vices. But we know that Jesus came to set the captives free! Our mission is to share a life changing real Jesus who brings deliverance and brings freedom! Our aim is to be a blessing and share the love of Christ, material and spiritually. The Bible says, “Whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” Also, in the Bible, God exhorts us, to “do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” We are stepping out to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our plan this year is to minister on a more personal basis. Prior to this years outreach, people in our target area will receive a flyer explaining how Life Line Outreach Ministries desires to bless them with a Christmas box. These Christmas Boxes will consist of most everything needed for a holiday meal: 5 # canned Ham, canned vegetables, boxed potatoes, boxed dressing, Christmas candy/cookies; we are also including a gifts for the children and teens. Every box will also include a Bible. The individuals who desire to receive a Christmas Box will call us, on a first call first serve basis,  to be added to a list we will have for the December 15th Outreach.

I have seen some outreaches where people are handed a box and they walk off and never received any ministry. This is what we want to avoid, is people just taking a box and not receiving any ministry. Amen. So, the people who call us back will be added to the scheduled list. And as we will deliver the Christmas Boxes right to their home, we will be bringing Jesus with us. Amen! We will be talking to the families, we will sharing our testimonies, ministering to them as the Spirit leads-  we will be offering prayer, sharing the Gospel teaching the true meaning of Christmas-right there in their home. We will be building relationships, we will be getting to know them and they will be getting to know us. From this relationship building is where we can effectively invite them to Church and make follow ministry up a whole lot easier. It’s going to be good! I am excited!
We will be targeting needy people. Many of the folk we will be reaching out to are either unemployed or working day labor jobs. Many are living day to day, even on the verge of being homeless.

We would you ask you to please pray for this outreach and intercede for the Lord to draw the sinners to repentance. The whole purpose of this outreach is to share the love of Jesus and lead folk to Jesus, to see them get right with the Lord!

The estimated cost for each box will be around $25.00

UPCOMING DECEMBER EVENTS

Here is a quick update on some upcoming events in December.  I would appreciate prayers. Thanks so much.
Coming up December 4th  is a special meeting we are having at Bashor Children’s Home.

We have been going in twice a month building relationships and getting to know the students that reside at the facility. We have been playing games with the students- sometimes basketball, or card games, board games, we have even been teaching the students guitar- all of this is to get the kids to open up and ultimately for us to be able to minister to them. And too be quite honest, it has been some hard ground to sow into at Bashor- for many reasons. But we are ready now to do a special meeting that we are a calling a “180 event”

At this “180 event” we will have some live music, we will testify, we will do some preaching, ministry, and prayer. This is our goal at Bashor to minister Jesus. The hope is now that the students know us and we have built some relationships with them that they will come to the meeting as these are voluntary. Please pray that the students will be drawn by the Lord to come to the event. Pray that the Lord will touch and impact their lives. Thanks so much. We will be also blessing them with some special gifts. So please pray for the Lord to do a mighty work!..Amen.

Another event we are doing in December is the Teen Challenge Christmas Party.

We totally love the ministry of Teen Challenge. The Elkhart Teen Challenge has over twenty men currently in the facility. These men are being descipled, they are growing in the things of God and lives are being changed. It has been such an honor to be connected with them.

December 7th we are having a Christmas Party for the guys at TC. Life Line will be bringing in Pizza for a special meal with the guys. We also will have a gift bag for each man to bless them and encourage them. Also, we will be ministering at the Chapel Service with music, a message and prayer with altar ministry. Please pray for eternal lives to be impacted for the kingdom of God.

And finally, in December on the 15th, Life Line will be conducting its seventh annual Christmas Outreach. This year we will be making up Christmas Boxes that will be stuffed full with everything needed for a nice holiday meal which will include a 5 pound ham, and other food items plus a gift for the kids and a new Bible.

We will be targeting needy people in the Elkhart/Goshen area. The plan is to deliver these boxes right to their homes. We will not only be blessing them with material needs we will be ministering to them spiritually. We will be sharing our testimonies, ministering to them as the Spirit leads- we will be offering prayer, sharing the Gospel teaching the true meaning of Christmas-right there in their home. I am excited!! More information will be forth coming on this event.

We appreciate your prayers for each of these events. If anyone would like to sow a financial seed toward any of these events please see the information below. Thanks for reading and thanks so much for your prayers..

RAVINA PARK OUTREACH RECAP

The Ravina Park Outreach in South Bend was great!

It was a great Outreach!
There is just something about the inner city outreaches that are so exciting. I guess, because you never know who might wander in, or who shows up. Plus, believe it or not, most of the people you meet  are very open to hear what you have to say. They realize that we are there to bless them and help them, so they open up and many of them stay the whole time to fellowship and dialog.

Today’s ministry team was from several different area Churches and Ministries, and we all flowed together marvelously. The reason this is possible is because of the common goal: JESUS!... That is the goal, to minister Jesus! It is sharing Christ! To love people who don’t get much love. Amen. This is why this works, and this is why it is effective.

A few of my  highlights from this day- a man I met named Marlin, he had the most awesome smile and he was very friendly, he received a flyer last week and remembered it this morning. He told me how recently he was injured and missed a lot of work and stopped going to Church. He admitted he needed to get back into a fellowship. We talked for a while he brought his brother with him. I was able to minister and pray for him. He made arrangements to connect with Christian Center Church (one of the local Churches attending the event.)  Praise God!

Another cool highlight was a lady who showed up with her two daughters. They just relocated from Florida, and the oldest daughter named Kristen, desired to get involved in church and a youth group.  They stayed for a while and were ministered to.

Another whole family that came, I met them as we went out inviting people to the Park after we set up. This was a large family, as there were around ten of them, the cool thing is we almost walked by them. But I saw them out of the corner of my eye as they were by the side of their house. This really was a God appointment as all of them came to the Park. I personally had some real effective ministry with the two boys, both of them struggling with drugs, rejection, and depression. Many in that family were planning on attending church.

The Teen Challenge guys who came out with us had a incredible time. They all got to share their testimonies publicly and even did some street ministry. I love their hearts and passion to serve and pray for people.

Pastor Joel  and his Church, a Spanish ministering Church named Divine Touch, did a great job. They connected with a few Spanish families that showed up at the outreach and plans were in place for them to attend their Church which is just a few blocks away from Ravina Park.

A big shout of thanks to all who served!  Thank you as well to everyone who prayed and gave toward this outreach.  The biggest shout of praise to the Lord Jesus Christ who gets all the glory for all the good that went forth this day!!!... Praise You Lord!!!

BASHOR HOME MINISTRY UPDATE

A Big shout of thanks to those of you who have been praying for the Bashor Home ministry. We had a real good ministry time with the students at Bashor last Tuesday.

The first two meetings at Bashor didn’t go so well. There is no need to get into that but only to say it was "hard ground" the last two times at Bashor. But this last Tuesday was different, there was much more openness from the students toward us. They seemed more eager to talk to us and engage in dialog. The Lord is softening hearts.

We had two teams go in, one group went into one cottage and played board games and taught guitar with the students.

The team I was with, we played an intense three on three basketball game and also threw a football around.

Relationship building. This is how the Lord is leading us at Bashor. After the basketball game a couple of the students sat at the picnic table and engaged in a short Bible Study. And as we left all the students received prayer and they seemed genuinely thankful that we were there.

We feel like a trust is building at Bashor and we are gaining some confidence with the students. We are still praying on the timing of this, but the plan is to have a Chapel service with the students; where we having live worship music and message from Bible along with prayer and altar time.

Many if not all of these young people have walls up. We feel like some of these walls are coming down, Praise God! I am anxious to see how the Lord continues this outreach. Please pray for the students at Bashor, pray the Lord touch them with His presence and they experience His love.

A big shout of thanks to Pastor Scott and his family, Daniel and the TC guys for their efforts and their hearts to show the love of Christ in a tangible way! Thanks again for the prayers and I will keep you all updated. Our next visit to Bashor is October 16th.

Thanks for reading and God bless you all!

Elkhart County Jail Testimony Update

A first timer came to the meeting last night named Donnie… He said he almost wasn’t going to come because he was experiencing a bad sinus head-ache. But since he signed up to go and his name was called to get in line to go the meeting, he rose up and decided to go. (Sometimes you just got to rise up above your pain and discomfort…Sometimes you have “press through the crowd, like the woman with the issue of blood…amen..I wish the saints in the church houses would pick up that…come on now..) Anyway, he rose up from his bunk and got n line with the others to come to the meeting…

At the meeting, as we were waiting for the other inmates to arrive, I was able to greet Donnie and briefly talk to him, he shared some of his despair in life and how much time his sentence was. I encouraged him and told him that I was glad he pressed in and came to the meeting.

During our praise and worship time (which was incredible!. the Spirit of God was moving and ministering) I noticed that Donnie had his head bowed and hands raised up. Then as he lifted his head, I seen he was weeping crying out to the Lord.. I thought to myself “Yes Lord!, do a work on him.”

Elkhart County Jail
At the end of the meeting during the altar Donnie raised his hand and cried out to the Lord for forgiveness and mercy. Amen! It was a marvelous thing to experience. As I embraced him after the meeting he looked me in the eye and said, “Even if sentencing doesn’t work, even if I experience some tough times – I will remember this night and keep it right with Jesus!” … Hallelujah!!

Please keep Donnie in your prayers along with all the other inmates. God is doing a great work in the county Jail.. Praise His Holy name!

Thanks for reading this and your prayers…God bless!

BROADMORE BLOCK-PARTY RECAP

A shout of thanks to all who served, gave, prayed and sacrificed to make this outreach possible.  We had a great turnout! The staff of Broadmore estimated that we had at least 50% of the park show up for the event, which is very good. We served up and blessed the folk with over one hundred  grilled chesses sandwiches  and we served over two hundred hotdogs! The food crew did an outstanding job!!

By the way, a big shout of thanks to Angel, Shelly and the team of Braodmore for all their help assisting us to make this block-party possible. You guys are a blessing!!

The purpose of these outreaches is to show the love of Christ. To witnessing Jesus, not only in word, but also blessing individuals with tangible substance- showing servant hood, showing love- from the  live music, to serving them a meal, offering a Bible, loving on their children We are the hands, the feet, the mouth piece for Jesus.  The Bible says “love never fails.”  We loved on folk in this outreach, we blessed families, we preached Christ, we prayed for people’s needs and we invited them to reach out and get a hold of Jesus for He is the one they need. Amen.

I want to give a salute and a loud shout “Good Job!” to the youth group of Christ Kingdom Fellowship for their awesome live human video they performed at the outreach! You guys did an incredible job! The people of Broadmore were totally touched by this skit. It is so awesome having these youth serving and ministering at these outreaches.  They bring excitement, passion and zeal- it is so cool having them out sharing Christ!
