A Big shout of thanks to those of you who have been
praying for the Bashor Home ministry. We had a real good ministry time with the
students at Bashor last Tuesday.
The first two meetings at Bashor didn’t go so well. There
is no need to get into that but only to say it was "hard ground" the last two times
at Bashor. But this last Tuesday was different, there was much more openness from
the students toward us. They seemed more eager to talk to us and engage in
dialog. The Lord is softening hearts.
We had two teams go in, one group went into one cottage
and played board games and taught guitar with the students.
The team I was with, we played an intense three on three
basketball game and also threw a football around.
Relationship building. This is how the Lord is leading us
at Bashor. After the basketball game a couple of the students sat at the picnic
table and engaged in a short Bible Study. And as we left all the students received
prayer and they seemed genuinely thankful that we were there.
We feel like a trust is building at Bashor and we are
gaining some confidence with the students. We are still praying on the timing
of this, but the plan is to have a Chapel service with the students; where we
having live worship music and message from Bible along with prayer and altar
time.
Many if not all of these young people have walls up. We
feel like some of these walls are coming down, Praise God! I am anxious to see
how the Lord continues this outreach. Please pray for the students at Bashor,
pray the Lord touch them with His presence and they experience His love.
A big shout of thanks to Pastor Scott and his family,
Daniel and the TC guys for their efforts and their hearts to show the love of Christ
in a tangible way! Thanks again for the prayers and I will keep you all updated.
Our next visit to Bashor is October 16th.
Thanks for reading and God bless you all!
