First Outreach of the year- La Casa Apartments May 2014

It was a beautiful day and a great turnout!!
We just completed our first block party outreach of year (2014) and it's time to testify of God greatness and shout a huge thank you to all who gave of their time and finances toward this event. Thank you! Also, the prayers that you all prayed were definitely heard as the day was absolutely marvelous the weather turned out superb!  All praise and glory to God!

The turnout was awesome. We estimate over two hundred neighborhood people attended the block party. It was really a blessing just loving on the people as they came to the event. The children were particularly blessed as they had a blast receiving balloons, getting their face painted and of course enjoying the bounce house.

Loving on people- showing Jesus in a tangible way was and is our goal. Everyone who came to the event was greeted with a smile and made to feel special. As the people settled in and grabbed some food we sat down by them and greeted them and talked to them sharing their importance to God- So many people commented  on how that could just feel the love of Christ at the block party. We witnessed, we shared the Gospel and testified to everyone we could. The team did an outstanding job.

Speaking of the team, it was totally incredible having the whole Teen Challenge ministry out there with us. For many of these guys it was their first time out evangelizing and witnessing on the streets. So we praise God! They all did an outstanding job. Plus they brought out their praise band and ministered in song- they are so gifted! Bro. Eric Swanson, one the TC staff, preached a word for the community that was anointed and right spot on. God worked mightily ministering to the hearts as Eric shared the Gospel.

I ministered to a lot of people one on one, but one of the highlights for me was ministering to a young woman and her fiancé. Her name is Rebecca and I met her as myself and two TC brothers were going door to door. We met her at her apartment and she was open to the invite to the block party and she was eagerly listening to what we were saying. She confessed some struggles she had and she took a Bible from us. When we offered to pray for her she shared her concern for her baby as she was five month pregnant. We prayed and ministered to her at her apartment and it was so cool to see her come to the block party as she brought her fiancé. We all loved on them, and ministered to both of them for quite a while. He shared how he came to know Jesus as a child but he knew he could do better serving and living for Jesus. We exhorted him and prayed over both of them.

Please view the pics below. Thanks again for your prayers and support. It was an awesome day!!
Next Outreach is June 14th

Good Friday Chapel at Teen Challenge

Teen Challenge is a residential Christian recovery program that is geared towards life recovery for men eighteen years and older who have struggled with addictions- drugs and alcohol being the predominate vice.
Pizza meal is always a hit!!

We had a great time connecting with Teen Challenge of Elkhart for the Good Friday Chapel.  It is always a blessing to be with the brothers, to share a meal together, pray together, worship and get into the Word. We totally enjoyed it!!

A big shout of “thanks” to all the lifeline team for serving and ministering the love of Christ to all the guys at Teen Challenge. Also, a big thank you to the director Andy Collins and all the staff of North Central Indiana Teen Challenge- you guys are doing a great work of discipleship and we are seeing the fruit. Amen.
"Out of the Dust" lead the worship time!
Also, it was awesome having the band “Out of the Dust” at the Chapel minister with us as they ministered in worship- we love these brothers heart and sound we especially appreciate their love for Jesus. Plus they are gifted and talented.

Brother Lance bring the Word!
Our good friends Lance and Leigh Lance Prathaftakis were with us, they have an awesome love for the Lord and an extreme passion for souls. Leigh ministered in song and Lance brought a word straight from his heart; the Lord moved in a mighty way- as several were touched during the altar time in prayer

FIRST BLOCK-PARTY OUTREACH OF THE YEAR MAY 3RD

La Casa Estates Apartments - up town Elkhart, IN

We have our first block party outreach of the year coming up on May 3rd. And we are excited! I am expecting an incredible year of outreach to the lost. We know without a shadow of a doubt that we are called to minister and reach out to those who are lost and without Jesus.
We praise God for those who go over seas- Amen! We also know that we have a mission field right here where we live. It’s our work place, our neighborhoods, in the market place; it’s also our town and our cities. We say do it Jesus! Empower us to reach those who don’t know You.

Great to be teaming up with Teen Challenge!!
We are excited to be teaming up with the ministry of Teen Challenge, a Christian-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation discipleship center. They house around twenty-five guys from age eighteen and older and it is going to be awesome having the whole center taking part in this outreach.

We have been able to really connect with these brothers here in Elkhart, lead by Director Andy Collins and the awesome staff. Many of the guys will be testifying at the outreach on their deliverance and freedom they now have in Christ. The Teen Challenge Praise Band will be playing music at the event and one the staff will be preaching a message of salvation to the community. So we are excited!! It’s going to be good!

Love and Servant hood
We will be reaching out to a low income apartment complex, La Casa Apartments. This is a very urban inner
city apartment complex. We have had the opportunity to have two previous outreaches at this location that have been incredible. There is always a lot of foot traffic in this area as it is located up town Elkhart. We will again be setting up right off of Prairie Street just over the railroad tracks.

We plan on getting a bounce house to be a blessing to the kids and draw families to the event. We will be giving away free hotdogs, grilled cheese, chips, cookies, and punch. We will have face painting, balloons, free Bibles, Christian books, live music, testimonies, preaching and witnessing the love of Jesus. It is going to be a great time. We so appreciate your prayers! Ask God to draw them in! Amen!

Showing the love of Jesus in a tangible way!!
Also, we would love to have anyone who is reading this to please come out and support this event. You can either come and just check it out, maybe eat a hotdog or grilled cheese, or jump on in and help us serve a hotdog, clean a table, help with face painting a child. Or maybe jump on in witnessing and evangelize to those who need Jesus. Please feel invited we would love to have you join us. We love connecting with local churches and teaming up.

UPDATE ON THE BIBLES

A quick update and shouts of Thanks to those who gave and prayed for a need we shared about a week ago.

We had a need for Bibles in the South Bend Re-entry Facility and for all our outreaches coming up, as we always have Bibles to give out for free.

The Lord moved on many peoples heart to help and either give Bibles or support financially. We had a brother give three cases of new leather bound Bibles to the work going on at South Bend Re-entry. Praise God! Also, we received over Three hundred dollars from Saints who live locally and many around the U.S. We are so thankful! This now allows us to have Bible to give to the inmates at the Re-entry Center and it also allows us buy Bibles/tracts for all of our upcoming block party outreaches!!... Thank you all! To God be Glory!!..

BIBLES NEEDED! -CAN YOU HELP?

One of the needs we have at the South Bend Re-entry Jail is Bibles.

We have noticed that some of the guys attending the meetings did not have Bibles. So we asked them if they needed a Bible and many of them said yes they did need a Bible. So I am in the process of getting some.

After some diligent searching I found that I can get full Bibles, New King James Version, at a respectable price of $3.99 a piece. These are the “Free on The Inside” Bibles. I do have to buy them by the case of twenty four to get that price- but it is free shipping. The total case cost is $95.76. My goal is to get a couple of cases.

If anyone would like to give toward this effort, you can give on-line we have a secure pay pal account- Just click on the “PayPal Donate” button on the upper right hand side of this page.
