RECAP OF HIMEBAUGH AVE. BLOCK PARTY OUTREACH

The first block party outreach of the year was awesome! We had a great turn out. (See Pictures below) What a blessing it is to minister and share the love of Jesus.

Thanks to all who Served, Prayed and Gave
A big shout out of thanks to all who prayed, gave and sacrificed their time at the outreach event. Thank you! It takes a team and we all worked together marvelously. Great job!

A Big shout out to our friend and comrade Frankie Phillips and his family as this outreach was in his neighborhood, in fact, it was on his daughters front lawn as we reach out to the surrounding families and neighbors in his area. Thanks everyone.

Also, a shout out to Ted Wright as he and his family provided, for free, 120 pounds of grilled chicken to be served at the event. What a blessing that was! Thank you Ted and family! Also a big thank you to Penny Goosens and her team from Westside Worship Center. Penny directs a clothing ministry at her Church and she graciously brought a few tables of clothing to the event to make available for the people. Awesome job-Thank you all!

We conservatively estimated that around 200 or more people came to the event. Many kids were loving the bounce house/face painting and the puppets. Speaking of puppets, thanks to the Teen Challenge brothers who did a great job ministering the love of Jesus to the children with the puppets... Awesome job guys!.. and several of the brothers ministered through music as the Teen Challenge Praise Band was playing and they were anointed! Thanks guys!
Some Highlights from the event
It's always a blessing and an honor to talk to people about Jesus and that is what these block party outreaches do-they give opportunity to share and speak about the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the first folks I talked to on Saturday was a lady and her son-she grabbed my arm as I walking by and she asked me, "How do I get right with the Lord?" Wow, those type of opportunities don't come around to often, where people literally grab you and ask you how to do I get saved.  I was able to sit with them and share the Gospel with them and I had the opportunity to pray with her. Praise God!

Another awesome highlight was the fact that three guys, that I know of, who came to the block party that I recently had ministered to while they were incarcerated. These three brothers have been out a while and are serving Jesus, working jobs and doing well. Praise God! It was a blessing to connect with them and encourage them in their walk.

One more highlight- by us having our sound system at the event, besides the live music, we are able to gather everyone's attention  (as best as we can) and share the simple Gospel message to all those who are attending. What an awesome thing this is- to share that God made a way to save us from our sins, to restore us and deliver us. Jesus paid the sin penalty if call out to Him in surrender and make Him Lord and Savior. A few people came forward to confess sin and ask for forgiveness. All glory to the Lord as He gets the increase. Amen.

Thanks again to everyone who prayed, supported and served. Please check out the pics below.

Also- we appreciate your prayers for our weekly Thursday County Jail meetings. God is changing lives and He is moving in the county jail. Please also remember us as we minister in the Elkhart Juvenile Detention Facility twice a month.
