Today’s Ham Outreach Testimonies

A small team of us went out today to minister Jesus in some impoverished areas in Elkhart.
Many of you know that Elkhart has been hit bad economically due to the major RV slow down.
So it was really awesome to go out and sow food and Bibles to some of the needy families. Food gives us the inroad to pray and minister Jesus to people we come in contact with and today was no exception as we had an incredible time of ministry.

It started out really strange as the first place we arrived we ran across a group of people coming out of their cars going into their trailer. One of the guys in the group was highly intoxicated. Well, when we started to tell him why we were there he interrupted us in mid-sentence and started cursing and screaming at us to leave. This had to be the worst tirade of vulgarity I have ever witnessed on the streets personally. It was bad.

We just went about our business for the Lord and had an absolutely incredible two hours of ministry. In that particular area that we got cussed out, we had some absolutely great ministry. Bill Lehman and my self talked and ministered to a lady and a Hispanic man. Her name was Gloria and his was George. Both were so thankful for the ham, bread and Bible we brought. We were able to pray with them; they both prayed with us desiring to know Jesus. That was awesome.

Two trailers down, we ministered to two young women, one of the ladies was pregnant. They too were also very thankful. We shared the Gospel with them and reminded them that it’s all about knowing Jesus in a personal way. We got to pray with them and we asked God to continue to reach out to them.

One house we went to Bill ministered to a Hispanic lady who was missing her children. They were living in Chicago. Bill was able to minister to her for a while and we prayed with her for her family.

Justin and Thad had an encounter with a lady who was a Jehovah Witness. She was in a real need, she had hardly any food at all in her house. They shared with her for a while and gave her a ham and bread, praying that she comes to know the real Jesus.
Justin and Thad also ministered to guy who was kind of rude and not very friendly. When they started sharing why they were there to bless him and his family with some food, the guys’ whole countenance changed and he opened up to listen to them, he took a Bible and received prayer. Praise God!

Lance and Joe also had good ministry. One that stands out- they came across a little Hispanic Church on Modrell street and they started ministering to the Pastor. It was cool because he needed some encouragement. He had several health issues and he asked if we could all pray for him. By this time Bill and I had also arrived at the Church, so this Pastor pulled out the anointing oil and we all laid hands on this brother. We prayed the prayer of faith and we had us a Holy Ghost anointing prayer time as we prayed and cried out for this Pastors healing! You just never know doing street ministry what your going to run into.- The outreach started out with us getting cursed with vulgarities and then to have a Holy Ghost prayer time two hours later… Praise God!…. To God be the glory!!

**Were going to be continuing going out in impoverished neighborhoods to minister food to people on a regular basis. We feel that with the economy the way it is this is a great opportunity. But most of all we feel the nudge from the Holy Ghost to step out in this, we know it is an effective ministry to pray and share Jesus with people. If anyone would desire to donate some non-perishable food please call me. No amount is too small. Please pray for us as we continue to minister to the lost. Thanks
