GEARING UP FOR LANGLE PARK OUTREACH

LANGLE PARK OUTREACH

Life Line Outreach Ministries is teaming up with Raven Midwest Ministries to conduct an outreach at Langle Park in Elkhart, IN (Lincoln St, Elkhart, IN). Langle Park is located in the inner city; the area is an urban area very impoverished. Many people who live in this area are renting run down homes due to the fact that cannot afford to live anywhere else. This is also an area of drug and gang activity. This area is only 2 blocks North of the area dubbed the "hole" notorious for its heavy drug trafficking. This is the type area that Jesus hung out in and ministered in. The harvest is surly plentiful and we have an awesome opportunity to reach people with the Gospel. We will be grilling food (hot dogs/sausage) for free to those at the park. The purpose of this outreach is to share Jesus! To be His hands, His feet and His mouth. Whether it is just showing love and kindness to a small child or praying for someone’s deliverance we all have a part as minister’s of reconciliation.

*****UPDATE FROM: FRIDAY JULY 25TH
The last few Friday nights we have been ministering around the Langle Park area in downtown Elkhart as we prepare for the Outreach next Saturday August 2nd. And It has been absolutely amazing what God is doing. The more we are frequenting the area, the more the people recognize us and open up to us. Last night we spend 2 ½ hours on one porch ministering to a whole group of people ranging from teens to elderly folk. It was kind of funny the week before, this one lady looked at me and scowled at me like she hated me. Last night she was as sweat as could be and shared her up coming surgery with us and she was open as we shared healing scriptures and prayed with her.

I had the opportunity to minister to a family who just happened to be on this porch last night. It was a mother and her son (Lori & Larry). Larry recently has committed his life to Jesus and he shared many things as we all talked. Lori his mom, was visibly broken and weeping through much of our conversation, she hasn’t yielded her life fully to Christ due to the many questions she has. Of course, we talked about these many things and she was really open and I believe God is working on her in a big way.

As we have been walking around the area we have been telling everyone we meet about the outreach next week and we believe there will be a lot of people coming. The harvest is truly plentiful and I know we are going to have an incredible time blessing the people and sharing the love of Jesus.

There are many opportunities to help and be part of this Outreach from attending and helping to donating money or food items. But most of all we ask that you pray for the outreach. Please pray that the people's hearts to whom we will be ministering will be prepared and be receptive to the Gospel. Thanks so much.
