JAIL OUTREACH UPDATE

The Jail ministry went great last night.
Rich & Debbie Rennier, John Cowens and
myself all went. Debbie and John went to the ladies cell block.
Rich and I went to the men’s cells.

Debbie and Bro. John had a great time talking to the ladies, Bro. John led the ladies in some hymns from the heart singing unto Jesus. Many were inspired by Sister Debbies testimony and some even desired to be mentored by her. Praise God!! God is drawing the people in.

Rich and I went to the solitary cells and had some real good ministry with several guys. We first talked with Ricky, who has court sentencing tomorrow. He shared with us how he’s trusting God no matter what the outcome. Ricky is really drawing close to God and grow in the knowledge of the Word. We had a great time encouraging this bother in the Lord.

When we move up to the next set of cells Eugene yelled out to us to come over and talk. This brother was revved up to share what God has been doing in His life. He shared in his Own testimony how God is getting his attention and correcting him for his disobedient Lifestyle. Also, how he’s growing closer to the Father.

Eugene is sharing a cell with Bob, who just got put in jail a day ago. Bob is really hurting and missing his family (sin really is a strong taskmaster). I shared with Bob how out of all the cells they could have placed him in somehow he ended up in a cell with a repentant man of God- who loves to
preach (Eugene). I assured him that this was not by
accident. – God is trying to get your attention. He agreed- and we shared the word of God and all prayed together. Bob definitely was broken and I know God is really reaching out to him.

The next guys the Lord led us to was a young man named Mike. He said he believed in God and used to go to church. I mentioned to him that the devil believes in God and even knows the Bible but the devil isn’t going to heaven. We need to surrender to Jesus and live for Him and make Him the Lord of our lives.

Rich shared with him the how God cleans us up after we humbly repent and lay it all Down at the foot of the cross and then God begins to clean us up. Its only by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can change. We then prayed with Mike and encouraged him to seek God with all his heart.

Lastly, we talked with 2 young guys (20 years old) named Jose’ and Tom. They were very receptive as we shared the Gospel and prayed with them.

It was a great night. I thank God for the opportunity to share the Gospel and minister Jesus. Please keep these guys in your prayers. Anyone interested in going to the jails
